Study Together: Bring Your Friends Into the Same Chat With Flae
Most study apps are a solo experience. You read alone, you quiz alone, you get stuck alone.
But that is not how students in Ghana actually revise. You revise in a group, in a hall, or in a WhatsApp thread at 11pm the night before a paper. Study Together brings that into the app.
How to start a room
Open the AI Tutor and look at the top right of the screen. Next to the history icon there is a people icon — tap it.
That does three things at once:
- Creates a live study room
- Copies your current conversation into it, so it isn't an empty page
- Takes you straight into the room as the host
That second point matters more than it sounds. If you have been going back and forth with Flae about osmosis for ten minutes, your friends don't arrive to a blank screen. The last part of your conversation comes with you, so they can read what you already covered and join in from there.
Inviting your friends
Once you are in the room, there are two ways to get people in.
The share button — the blue icon in the room header. Tap it and your phone's normal share sheet opens. Send it through WhatsApp, or wherever your group already talks. Your friend taps the link and lands in your room.
The room code — a short six-character code shown under the header, like K7M2QP. Tap it to copy. This is the one to use when you are sitting together in a lecture hall and it is faster to read six characters out loud than to send a link to five people.
A room holds four people including you, and stays open for 24 hours.
What it is actually like
Everyone in the room sees the same conversation, live. When someone types, it appears for everyone. When anyone asks Flae something, Flae answers the whole room, not just the person who asked.
So it works the way a study group actually works. One person asks the question everybody was too shy to ask. Everybody gets the answer. Somebody else asks the follow-up.
You can also just talk to each other in the room without involving Flae at all — peer messages send instantly, even while Flae is still typing out a long answer.
Leaving versus ending
These are two different things, and it is worth knowing which is which.
- The back arrow — you leave, the room stays open. Come back to it any time within the 24 hours.
- The End button (host only) — closes the room for everybody.
So stepping away to check something doesn't destroy the session for your friends.
When to use it
- Before a quiz, so the whole group gets the same explanation instead of four different half-explanations
- On a group assignment, when you all need the same concept cleared up
- The night before a paper, when somebody in the group is stuck and everyone else quietly is too
