For most of this year Flaevo lived in the browser, and the only way onto your phone was a file you had to sideload past a warning screen. That is over. It is a normal app now — you install it the way you install everything else, and it updates itself.

If Play is being difficult on your device, or you are on a network where the Store is painfully slow, the direct download still works: flaevoapp.com/downloads/flaevo.apk. Same app, same version.

What you get for free

The free plan is not a trial that locks you out after a week. It includes the core of the app:

• Flae, the AI tutor — ask it anything from your syllabus, in plain language, and keep asking follow-ups until it actually makes sense
• Quizzes generated from a topic you type, your own notes, or a file you upload
• Flashcards and spaced-repetition review, so the things you get wrong come back at the right time instead of never
• The study planner, which builds a timetable around your real week
• Over a million free textbooks you can read and study with

A Pro plan exists for higher daily limits and deeper analytics, but nothing above is behind it, and no card is needed to start.

Why install the app instead of using the site

The website is not going anywhere. But three things only work properly on the installed app:

The home-screen widget. Ask Flae a question straight from your home screen without opening anything first. That sounds small until you notice how often a question dies because opening an app felt like too much work.

Reminders. The app can nudge you when review is due. Spaced repetition only works if something tells you when the spacing has run out, and a browser tab cannot do that.

It behaves like a phone app. It survives a bad connection, it does not lose your place when you switch apps, and it starts instantly.

Your first five minutes

1. Install and sign in. Google sign-in is one tap; email works too.
2. Give it something real. Not a demo topic — your actual lecture slides, a PDF, or a photo of your notes. Flaevo is far more useful when it is working with your material instead of general knowledge.
3. Ask Flae to quiz you on it. This is the moment the app makes sense. You will find out in two minutes how much of that lecture actually landed.
4. Get the wrong answers into review. They go into your spaced-repetition deck automatically, and that deck is the part that changes your grade.
